The challenge
A trading company hires quantitative researchers and traders with a strong mathematics or physics background. International competitions such as IMC, EGOI, IYPT, and IPT publish lists of participants from previous years, but going through them manually is enormously time consuming.
What I built
First, I built an automation with Claude that scrapes websites in different formats, including PDF files, and imports everything into one place.
Second, it enriches each record from Coresignal based on name, country, and university to find LinkedIn profiles and work history.
Third, it ranks participants based on their work history and the medal they won.
The result is a master sheet of 18,000+ participants, ordered, ranked, and enriched, so the recruiter can send hyper-personalized LinkedIn messages to the top 50 people.
Result
A sourcing sheet with contact details and a ranking score for every candidate.
